Jim started brewing Kombucha Tea back in 2003, and he's been brewing it the same way ever since. When we opened the winery in 2013, we added the Kombucha Tea to our product line. Our Tea has a great refreshing taste and is a great probiotic. The Chinese called Kombucha Tea the "elixir of life". With everyone being more health conscious these days, this is a great alternative drink.

History of the tea dates back to Qin Dynasty in China (around 250 BC). The Chinese called it the “Immortal Health Elixir". They believed it aided in digestion allowing the body to focus on healing. Kombucha works with your body to boost its natural inbuilt ability to fight sickness and disease, as well as bring a healthy balance back to your metabolism and organs.

Kombucha is a fermented drink made of Green tea and Kombucha mushroom (SCOBY). The culture is live and a codependent blend of healthy bacteria and yeasts. It is a probiotic tea which detoxifies and energizes. It also strengthens your immune system so your body can fight off infections and sickness with no damage to your system at present. Another great effect of Kombucha is a feeling of well-being and better mood. It's a pleasant tasting, powerfully effective health/food supplement. The taste is slightly like a sparkling apple cider or dry white wine. There is alcohol in it, but it is so low (.001% by volume) that it's considered non-alcoholic.

In this day and age there are a lot of poor diets which increase harsh substances in our bodies. Sometimes we feel tired and sluggish because of these toxins. This is why people often try to detoxify their body and clean out all those impurities. Kombucha Tea is a powerful detoxifier and drinking it every day helps your body keep detoxifying.
